Rackham Summer Institute--June 21-August 13
Graduate students from historically underrepresented groups within their academic disciplines who are awarded Rackham Merit Fellowships (RMF), NSF/RMF, GE/RMF, and similar departmental fellowships in doctoral or M.F.A. degree granting programs are invited to participate in the Rackham Summer Institute (SI). The SI program is a voluntary and optional 8-week graduate transition program at the University of Michigan. The goal of SI is to provide newly awarded fellowship recipients in doctoral and M.F.A. programs with a stimulating intellectual, professional, and social transition into graduate school.
